Board Game Research Featured in The Conversation: From Play to Professional Skills

We are pleased to share that our research on the educational potential of modern board games has reached a wider audience through The Conversation, a leading international platform for research-based journalism and scientific communication.

The article, entitled “Cómo los juegos de mesa preparan para el mundo laboral” (“How Board Games Prepare Us for the Workplace”), explores how modern board games can help university students practise social and teamwork skills that are also essential in professional environments.

Published in the Spanish edition of The Conversation, the article draws on the findings of the Ludo Skills programme, a research initiative conducted at the Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes (UEMC) and previously published in the International Journal of Game-Based Learning.

Being featured in The Conversation represents another opportunity to bring scientific research on board game-based learning beyond academia, reaching educators, students, professionals and anyone interested in the educational and social potential of modern board games.

We would also like to thank all the students who participated in Ludo Skills and everyone who contributed to making this research possible.
