Our PAVE multiplier event brought together project resources, shared reflections and fresh enthusiasm for bringing values education into family and school life.
This week, Ludus Magnus held the multiplier event of PAVE – Active Engagement of Parents through Values, sharing the outcomes of a European project dedicated to strengthening cooperation between families and schools through values education.
The event offered an opportunity to explain the project’s aims, approach and activities, showing how parents and educators can work together to make values part of children’s everyday experiences. Through dialogue, play and shared reflection, PAVE helps turn concepts such as respect, empathy, trust, responsibility and human dignity into meaningful educational practices.
Practical Resources for Families and Schools
Participants explored the guides developed during the project, including the guide for adult educators, alongside the activities and materials used in the workshops. These resources offer practical ways to engage families through games, storytelling, cooperative activities and conversations that connect learning with everyday life.
The event also introduced the values matrices for home and school. These tools illustrate how values can be present, or absent, in familiar situations, helping parents and educators reflect on their own practices and build a more consistent approach across both settings.
“We wish we had had this when we were at school”
One recurring reflection during the question-and-answer session was particularly moving: participants wished that resources and approaches like these had been available in their own schools when they were growing up.
That reflection quickly led to questions about the future. Many attendees wanted to know whether the methodology could be introduced in the schools attended by their children or other family members.
We explained that the full collection of project materials is freely accessible in several languages, including Spanish, on the PAVE website. Families, educators and schools can explore the resources and use them to support their own values education initiatives.
Ludus Magnus also offered to coordinate and support further implementations. To help bring this work to more educational communities, we have included Values-Based Education for Families and Schools in our training programme, providing practical support for adapting the PAVE approach to different contexts.
Closing a Chapter, Continuing the Work
As PAVE approaches the end of its two-year journey, this event marks a meaningful closing chapter and an opportunity to celebrate what we have achieved together. We warmly thank our partners, DOXAMUS, Școala Primară Lorelay and SmartEdu4All, for their excellent work, commitment and collaboration throughout the project.
Looking back, we see more than the resources we have created: we see a shared journey that is helping families and schools turn values into everyday acts of care, understanding and respect, and that is a legacy worth carrying forward.
